“I am originally from Ottawa but live overseas, so when I came back for a visit, I wanted to do something different with my parents, my sister, brother in law and niece and nephew. I stumbled across this tour online and thought it would be a great way to get some exercise, try some new local cuisine and see Ottawa in a way I have never experienced. I was not disappointed.
Firstly, Maria was very helpful in assisting me with organising the private tour from overseas and answered all of my many questions before I booked in. On the day, the guide, Hans, was great at taking us around on mainly bike paths (which was very helpful as we had two young kids with our group). When we stopped for the food portion, Stephanie joined use and took us to 4 great spots to try some sames. All in all, it was a great way to spend time with my family (who I only get to see once a year) while enjoying some food, sights and exercise. I definitely recommend even if you are from Ottawa. It makes for a great afternoon!”

“Let me start off by saying I would highly recommend Escape Bike Tours. I called in with fairly short notice, have a teenage daughter that is not the most comfortable in a crowd so we were hoping to book a private tour. Even though it was last minute Maria found a way to accommodate us. Getting set up and going at the store was easy. Sparky was our tour guide and she was awesome. We booked the two hour tour, got to see and experience so much more than we would have been able to do on our own. The route was well thought out, Sparky provided tons of info at each stop, and we got to see and learn about Ottawa. Everyone in my family said that the bike tour was the highlight of our visit to Ottawa.”

“My husband and I celebrated my 59th birthday with this private 2-hr. bike tour of Ottawa. I’d not been on a bike in years, so was a little afraid that I couldn’t do it. Maria put me at ease when she met us at our hotel to begin our tour because she suggested a few options, depending upon my stamina. We went along the canal and locks, to a waterfall, an experimental farm and a botanical garden. We truly enjoyed the time and she made it so pleasant. I highly recommend a bike tour to see this beautiful area.”
